San Jose Video Production

Luma Creative is a video production company serving San Jose and the South Bay. The crew is based in San Francisco and shoots on location across Santa Clara County: corporate films, brand videos, product launches, event coverage and testimonials. Our client list includes Cepton, the lidar company headquartered in San Jose, and recent shoots have taken us from Palo Alto offices to the Santa Clara Convention Center.

Video production services for San Jose companies

Most of our San Jose work is for technology and B2B companies that need to explain something complicated on camera. Every service below travels: the crew and the gear come to your location.

Every project gets a producer who runs it from concept to delivery. Crew size scales to the job: a two-person interview setup one week, a full production with an art department the next.

South Bay work we can show you

Cepton, headquartered in San Jose, hired us to make a cinematic brand film about their lidar technology. It meant camera cars, drones, and explaining a complex sensor to a non-technical audience without dumbing it down.

More of the work, including the full Cepton case, is on the Cepton film page.

The South Bay reviews say more than we can:

“I was astounded by Luma’s expertise and flexibility when working with them on a high-end video production shoot in Palo Alto a few weeks ago.”

Richard Efrain Tobar, Google review

“I’ve worked with Luma Creative on a few video production shoots over the years. The first was for a testimonial video for one of our customers in San Francisco. The second was for a product demo event at the Santa Clara convention center. They have always been professional, on time and delivered ahead of schedule.”

How a San Jose production works

We run every project from first concept to final delivery, with one producer as your point of contact the whole way.

  • Concept and pre-production. We work out what the video needs to say, then script, cast, scout and schedule it. You approve the plan before anything is filmed.
  • The shoot. The crew arrives with everything: cameras, lighting, sound, and a run of show. Office shoots are planned around your working day so filming does not shut the building down.
  • Post-production. Editing, color, sound mix and motion graphics happen in our post pipeline, with review cuts at fixed points so feedback lands early instead of at the end.
  • Delivery. Finals arrive in every format you need, from a boardroom master to vertical cuts for social.

The through-line in our South Bay work is technical storytelling. Cepton makes lidar sensors, Cellares builds cell-therapy manufacturing platforms, and both hired us to make their technology legible to people who do not live in it. If your product takes a whiteboard to explain, that is the job we are built for.

For Cellares: an executive interview shot beside the machine it explains.

What video production costs in San Jose

San Jose projects are priced the same as the rest of the Bay Area. Most single-day corporate video runs $5,000 to $30,000. Multi-day or multi-location shoots with a larger crew run $15,000 to $100,000, and commercial work goes beyond that depending on scope. Ongoing social content runs $4,000 to $10,000 a month, and retainers start at $10,000 a month.

Three things move the number inside those ranges: crew days, locations, and the scope of post-production. A one-day interview shoot with a small crew sits at a different level from a multi-location brand film with motion graphics. For the full breakdown of what drives each figure, read our guide to how much video production costs.

Where we work around the South Bay

We shoot in San Jose, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Cupertino, Mountain View, Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Milpitas, Campbell and Los Gatos. Corporate campuses, rented studios, convention centers and offices all work: the crew brings the gear to you. Parking, permits and building access get sorted in pre-production, not on the morning of the shoot. We also produce across the wider Bay Area, including Santa Cruz and the Peninsula.

San Jose video production FAQs

Are you based in San Jose?

Our studio is in San Francisco and the crew shoots across the Bay Area every week, San Jose and the South Bay included. For most productions we come to you: your office, a rented location, or a venue like the Santa Clara Convention Center.

What does video production cost in San Jose?

The same as anywhere in the Bay Area. Most single-day corporate video runs $5,000 to $30,000, multi-day or multi-location shoots run $15,000 to $100,000, and ongoing social content runs $4,000 to $10,000 a month. Crew days, locations and post-production scope are what move the number inside those ranges. Our cost guide explains each driver.

What types of video do you produce for San Jose companies?

Corporate films, brand videos, product and launch videos, conference and event coverage, customer testimonials, live streams and motion graphics. Technology and B2B companies make up most of the client list.

How quickly can you deliver?

Timelines depend on scope, and we plan backwards from hard dates: a launch, a conference, a board meeting. You get real dates with the quote, and the schedule is built so review rounds happen early rather than the week of delivery. Client reviews on this page mention work delivered ahead of schedule, and that is the standard we plan to.

Do you also shoot photography?

Yes. Event and commercial photography is a separate service with its own portfolio at lumacreative.com/photography, covering conferences, product work and corporate events across the Bay Area.

Do you cover conferences and trade shows in San Jose?

Yes. Event coverage is a core service, and South Bay venues are regular territory. One recent example was a product demo event at the Santa Clara Convention Center.
