Impact Biosystems came to us looking for a cinematic commercial for their upcoming crowdfunding campaign. It was important to them that the video show a few real athletes amongst varying environments. For this shoot, we shot it over the course of two days between Boston and San Francisco. On day one, we were at the company’s headquarters capturing the interview bits as well as the R&D and team shots. On day two, we focused on the athletes as well as the actual use of the product.
With regards to equipment and crew, we tried to put as much as possible on the screen! We used an Alexa Mini with Cooke Anamorphic Superflares for an incredible image. Our team was relatively small in Boston and scaled up just slightly for a little more polish in San Francisco.

Kickstarter does seem to take more tech, games and design campaigns though, where as indiegogo seems to get more Fashion & Wearables, Transportation, or Travel & Outdoors projects.
