What does compliance review mean for a financial services video?
Compliance review is the step where a firm’s legal or compliance team checks that a video does not make a claim it cannot support, does not read as investment advice, and carries whatever disclosure the firm is required to show. In practice it means the script is approved before the shoot rather than after, on-screen text is treated as a claim in its own right, and the edit is locked with enough time for a review pass that frequently returns changes.
What this sector usually needs
Brand and product films
Financial products are abstract and the temptation is to fill the screen with stock imagery of cities and handshakes. The better version finds the specific thing the company actually does differently and shows that.
Customer testimonials
A customer describing the problem before the product is more persuasive than the same customer praising the product. We shoot these as conversations and cut them short.
Portfolio and founder interviews
Venture firms need a repeatable format that can be produced for many companies without looking like a template. That usually means a consistent set-up and lighting, with the variation coming from the location and the subject.
Annual meetings and events
Multi-camera coverage where the audio matters more than the look, delivered with clean cuts by session.
